Potter
jeweller works her magic at wedding show
Fiona Evans
RINGS by a jeweller whose work features in the new Harry Potter
film are among those starring in an alternative wedding show at
a Yorkshire gallery.
The handiwork of Jacqueline Cullen, who is the only contemporary
jeweller working with Whitby jet, will be seen on the big screen
later this year, adorning the evil Narcissa in Harry Potter and
the Half Blood Prince.
Her rings will be shown alongside more than 20 new collections of
jewellery and accessories in the eighth annual Alternative Wedding
and Valentine Show at Kath Libbert Jewellery Gallery, Salts Mill,
Saltaire from tomorrow until May 3.
The Big Ring Thing, which is part of the show, will feature the
creations of four leading designers - Jacqueline Cullen, Michael
Carberry, Jacqueline Mina and Anthony Roussel.
The exhibition's Mainly Men showcase features a new collection of
chunky, chiselled rings and bangles by Malcolm Morris alongside
'tyre-tread' patterned rings and cufflinks in heavily oxidized silver
by James Newman, who is originally from Barnsley.
