James Newman
James
Newman has been creating designer jewellery from his studio in Birmingham's
Jewellery Quarter since first establishing himself in 1998. James's
design inspiration comes from both material and abstract sources.
Though starting points can be diverse, underlying principles and
themes connect James's work. The exploration and juxtaposition of
textures, sculptural forms and use of tactile elements are all key
features.
The designs are characterised by a highly crafted quality, showing
crisp, clear lines. Striking in its simplicity, his jewellery will
add the finishing touch to any outfit, introducing a unique flair
to almost any personal style.
James employs age-old jewellery-making skills in combination with
newly emerging technologies and techniques. By embracing all aspects
of jewellery production and by having a strong design philosophy,
James aims to continue pushing boundaries, creating beautiful work
that endures. All designs are available in 9, 14 or 18ct gold as
well as platinum and palladium.
