WILLIAM SHARP

With an interest in the work and teachings of the Bauhaus, William has built a collection that draws together multiple disciplines. This has allowed him to turn his jewellery into interactive pieces that adorn both the body and the environment that they are found within. The modular systems incorporated into the jewellery have been developed by applying ‘The 10 Principles of Good Design’ that were curated by German Designer Dieter Rams. These Principles are more commonly applied to Product Design. Sustainability, key to Rams’ Principles, has been championed within William’s process by using CAD and 3D printing. The collection has been built efficiently and responsibly, with the biodegradable PLA plastic used within each piece being gifted the same respect as precious metal.
